Support your healing process with tender massage therapy .
Whether you are in need of pain management or gentle care you will be met exactly where you are with compassion.
Your time may include, but is not limited to:
Myofascial massage to restore tissue movement, increase circulation, and improve sensation
Orthopedic and neuro-muscular techniques aimed at reestablishing range of motion
Slow assisted stretching that supports tissue length and invites expansion
Manual lymphatic drainage in support of injury recovery and immunity
Somatic guidance, breath work and grounding exercises to sooth your whole being
We may be a good fit if you’re looking for:
Relaxed intake and time for co-regulation
There are no rushed conversations here, with little time to get to know your therapist. Each session is structured to allow for relaxed conversation, ample time to co-create, and enough time to apply your unique massage experience when you’re ready.
Slow and intuitive care
The steady rhythm from our intake is carried to the table to allow you and your body to receive care that is not forced, but tender. Even deep tissue can feel better when the time is taken to allow tissues to melt rather than push through boundaries. With this methodical approach, I’ll be able to tune into your body and respond to subtle signals that guide the pace.
Responsive attention and trauma awareness
Your sense of safety and comfort are my top priorities. All of my offerings are aimed at tending to the nervous system with awareness of the individual’s experience, needs, and boundaries. In addition, I want to meet you where you’re at in each moment. This means we can adapt our plan to suit your needs before, during and after session. I bring various props, tools, techniques and approaches to the massage table so that we can create a container that looks like care, to you.
“Rachel is an amazing massage therapist. The time they take to really listen and hear what I’m feeling and needing helps to create a safe and comfortable environment where I can really relax and receive the benefits of the massage therapy. As a trauma survivor I’m very particular about who I work with and Rachel is one of my top choices because of how safe they make the experience. Rachel’s massage therapy technique is effective at helping to relieve discomfort while still feeling very relaxing. I always leave feeling stress relief and relaxation of any muscles that were tight or holding. I can’t recommend Rachel enough!”

“WOW! I felt so nurtured, so seen, and so well cared for. Rachel has an innate ability to be present and help you become more present as well. Their touch was like an embodiment of the most nurturing soil that wraps you up like a little seedling in warm protection. They took the time to help me really assess where I was and what I needed, and then they provided exactly that. The intake session was not rushed through, and they made sure to work on every single thing we talked about during the intake session. Their touch is strong but not pushy, and extremely intuitive. I wish I could give six stars for real for real”

Benefits of Massage Therapy
-
Whether you’re recovering from a recent impact or tending to old injuries, regular massage therapy can assist in the relief of tension, recovery of joint range of motion, mobility of scar tissue and recovery of sensation.
-
The lymphatic system is often disrupted by impact trauma, which can greatly affect the recovery process. With manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) methods, your body is supported in the redistribution of vital fluids.
MLD can also be a supportive precaution to take before a planned surgery to give your body a head start in healing from the procedure.
Plus with lower levels of stress, increased circulation, and optimal lymphatic flow your immune system will likely build capacity to defend your body against the ongoing prevention of infection.
-
When you make time for yourself to receive care through massage therapy, you are tending to your nervous system and mental well-being.
Ongoing massage has been shown to relieve effects of anxiety, depression, and insomnia.
This can all be especially supportive when you are in the tender stages of recovering from a trauma.
